As the game progresses Batman learns that the joker is seeking a chemical called Titan which gives powers to Bane and the chemical is being produced in the asylum is even more powerful. The joker wants to use this chemical and give all the prisoners the power and create an unstoppable army. He also planning to release the titan in the water supply of Gotham City. Batman then goes on a journey all across the island to stop the plan from being executed.

Batman along with his normal abilities of running and jumping can also glide using his cape from higher buildings and locations. He also has a grapple gun which can be used to climb shorter heights and climb up to strategic locations. This mode gives you special visors and makes everything on the map look darker compared the point of interest which get highlighted.
